HOLLYWOOD HILLS—Singer Carrie Underwood received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, September 20. The country star and winner of the reality-competition series “American Idol” in 2005, was accompanied by Simon Cowell and country music singer Brad Paisley, while being honored with her star.

Underwood gained popularity when she competed on the fifth season of the hit FOX series.  She has released six studio albums total, with her latest album “Cry Pretty” was released in September 2018. Underwood has 15 #1 hits on the Billboard country charts, the most of any woman.

Underwood has won a total of seven Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. Her latest album “Cry Pretty” debuted at the top of the Billboard Charts selling over 266,000 copies during its first week of release.
